Open House on August 28th, was such a joy. The families and scholars picked up their passport, visited their classroom, teachers, and support staff and then returned for a small welcome gift. Thank you to former Principal, Ms. Melva Wright and Reverend Tyquan Alston from St. Paul AME Zion Church for helping us greet the families. There were plenty of smiles, hugs and lots of laughter. We are looking forward to this upcoming school year. #Risingabove #reachingbeyond #tigernation #community

Good evening West Salisbury families, This is the second message of two coming your way. This message is for the parents of our second graders who will be attending graduation, tomorrow, Friday June 7. But all parents are welcomed to listen if you will be coming to a graduation, next week so listen up. I am coming with some exciting news. The moment has come for us to celebrate the accomplishments of our tiger cubs for the 2023-2024 school year. As we finish up the school year, we will be having our end of year award ceremonies starting tomorrow. Parents please listen carefully as we give you instructions for tomorrow's events. Friday, June 7, 2024 we will be having our 2nd grade award ceremony. The ceremony will be held in the gymnasium and will begin at 10:00 a.m. Doors will be opened for entry at 9:30 a.m. Here are the guidelines that must be followed in order to make the entry as smooth as possible. Only two adults are permitted to attend the ceremony and there will be no exceptions. If a family of a student brings more than two adults the third adult will NOT be allowed in. Adults MUST bring their picture identification and have been checked into the RAPTOR safety system, in order to be allowed into the building. This is for the safety of our students. Children under the age of 18 and babies are not permitted to attend the ceremony, there will be no exceptions. In order to allow parents that are unable to attend the ceremony will be stream on a Zoom link on our school DOJO. Balloons, noise makers and large floating gifts will not be allowed into the building, and gifts that are brought into the building must be able to be placed in your lap or on the floor in front of you. After the ceremony parents are allowed to sign their child out for the remainder of the day without any penalty. If your child remains until the end of the day they will not be permitted to have any of the gifts with them in the school those gifts must be taken home with the parent or left at the front office. Parking for the award ceremony will be in the bus parking lot in the back of the school and families are permitted to park on the grass in an organized manner. From there you will have to enter in the front of the building where a table will be outside to begin the sign in process where you will be given further instructions on entering the building. Finally, our administrative team knows how exciting it is for your child to receive various awards for having a successful year and completing the requirements for second grade, but it is the expectation that parents show appreciation for all guests attending by celebrating your child in a respectful manner to all those in attendance. We look forward to an amazing time here in the tiger’s den and I look forward to seeing all of your smiling faces. Tigers let me hear you roar. ROAR!!!
